Anhui reports COVID-19 case related to Shanghai
One confirmed COVID-19 case was detected in Fuyang, Anhui province on Tuesday afternoon, according to the city's health authorities.
The patient, surnamed Lan, 50, works as a stevedore at Putong Airport and is a close contact of the confirmed case reported in Shanghai on Monday.
The man took a coach to Yingshang county in Fuyang and then a minibus home on Nov 5 and was confirmed on Nov 10 after he was sent for treatment in isolation at a hospital in Fuyang.
By 11 am on Tuesday, a total of 34 close contacts related to the case have been placed in isolation. Nucleic acid tests for 16 were negative, while the remaining are waiting for their results.
